The spotlight is now on DMG MORI, Platinum Sponsor of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 competition. Its support dates back to 2007 and includes "a wide range of machines, on-site technical support and preparation courses for competitors".
This year marks the eighth time it has worked with WorldSkills events to "motivate young skilled workers from around the world to compete at their best". This is not surprising, given that the common goal is to promote the international development of young talent in the traditional skilled trades.
DMG MORI and manufacturing technology
Today, there is no doubt that DMG MORI is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high precision machine tools. The company's commitment to innovation in machine tool manufacturing has made it a leader in the field and has given it the experience and technological expertise to support the WorldSkills CNC Turning and CNC Milling competitions. A total of 14 CTX 350s for flexible turning and 15 DMU 40s for 5-axis milling will be available to competitors in Lyon.
These and other advanced machine tools are sure to be "the ideal introduction to productive and efficient CNC machining and the basis for sustainable change in manufacturing". The four pillars of this Machining Transformation (MX) - Process Integration, Automation, Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX) - pave the way "for a competitive and sustainable future for companies".
